Elementary School Newsletter 4.29.2024

Dear Elementary Families,

We hope you had the opportunity to hear all about our Multicultural Fair that we hosted last Thursday! Witnessing the enthusiastic participation of numerous families filled us with joy and gratitude. Your presence truly enhanced the celebration of diversity that lies at the heart of our school community. A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to the success of this event!

We also extend our deepest appreciation to our dedicated parent community for their overwhelming generosity during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your thoughtful gestures and acts of kindness not only touched our hearts but also reinforced the strong bond between home and school. We are grateful for the love and appreciation you continually shower upon us!

Summer Social Skills Group Opportunities:

Please see the following 2 resources for social skills groups offered this summer:

Elementary Assembly & Attendance Focus:

We are excited to celebrate the completion of MAP testing with our students during an Elementary assembly this Tuesday. All students have worked all year, but especially during this testing period. They focused hard on meeting hallway expectations all month to help testing grade levels do their best work. Moving into the month of May, we will be putting an intentional focus on attendance. We hope to celebrate great attendance from our students for the final 4 weeks of the year!

Cyber Safety Presentation for Parents/Guardians:

On May 7th, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the Middle School cafe, we will be holding a cyber safety presentation and Q&A session led by a local FBI Special Agent. This presentation will be for parents/guardians only.

In today's digital age, ensuring our children's safety online is paramount. That's why we've invited an expert to share invaluable insights and tips on navigating the digital landscape safely and responsibly. This presentation will cover cybersecurity best practices, recognizing online threats, protecting personal information, responding to cyberbullying, and most importantly, how to talk to your student about the importance of cyber safety.

This is a great opportunity to empower yourself with the knowledge and tools needed to safeguard your child's online experience. We hope to see you there!

Library News:

The end of the year is coming fast which means it is time to return library books! Our students may borrow books until Monday April 29th. All library books are due back in the library by Monday, May 6th. Please be on the lookout for overdue notes coming home in the next few weeks and either return missing books or let Mrs. Ramsey know if they are lost! Thanks for your help!

Coffee With The Principals:

We will be hosting one more elementary principal & parent meet-up this year on Tuesday, April 30th at 9:00 am. We hope you can make it! Please use the link below to sign up if you plan to attend.
